WASHINGTON D.C. – A bb gun shooter fired at least nine times. Additionally, the incident occurred on Sunday night.
Moreover, the shooter injured people and damaged cars. Furthermore, the suspect fired in at least nine separate instances.
Fortunately, none of the victims received life-threatening injuries.
Police officials report that the incidents occurred within a two-hour timeframe on Sunday evening. Furthermore, officials say a parked police car was targeted at some point. However, officials have not determined when this happened.
Currently, D.C. police officers do not have a suspect or suspects. However, officials released an image of a vehicle that could link to the bb gun shooter. Furthermore, officials report seeing a suspect flee in this vehicle after shooting a BB gun in the 2800 block of Alabama Avenue.
Police officers described the nine incidents with the BB gun shooter.
First, the shooter hit a victim at around 8:21 p.m. This happened in the 3800 block of Minnesota Avenue NE.
Then, thirteen minutes later, the suspect approached a victim sitting in a parked car in the 100 block of 35th Street SE.
Thirteen minutes after that, the suspect shot another victim in the 4800 block of Benning Road SE.
Then, around 9 p.m., the suspect shot a fourth victim in the 2800 block of Alabama Avenue SE.
Five minutes later, the suspect shot a fifth victim and fled the scene in the 1300 block of Alabama Avenue SE.
After this, the suspect shot a person sitting at a bus stop in the 2400 block of Alabama Avenue SE.
Then, around 9:38 p.m., the suspect shot at a driver. They missed the driver, but shot out the car window.
Next, around 10 p.m., the suspect shot at and damaged a vehicle with two people parked inside.
Finally, at some point during this spree, the parked police car was shot at and damaged in the 2400 block of Alabama Avenue SE.
DC police have certainly had a lot on their hands recently, what with these BB shootings and another recent shooting in which police caught the suspect on camera.
