WASHINGTON D.C. — Are you a tourist and want to have fun this week? Or do you want to have a nice evening after work? Well, these events will make your week more colorful and interesting. Check out the dates and the events that the city is going to host this week.

 

Trick or Treat on Embassy Row: As it is Halloween, it is more fun around the city. Be sure, your days will be fuller than ever. For tourists, embassies along Massachusetts Ave. NW might look unfriendly with their guards and heavy gates, but they are often told that on Halloween night. Some of these buildings are opening their gates to groups of trick or treaters and lavish them with foreign candy and gifts.

 

For example, the Korean Embassy’s Cultural Center, rolls out the red carpet with Korean candies and other activities, while other embassies keep their gates locked. SO, the truth can be confusing but anyways its fun for natives. There is no charge for the event, it’s FREE. Find it during business hours along Mass. Ave. NW between Dupont Circle and Observatory Circle. The event is on October 31, Halloween Day.

 

Pumpkin carving Event: Want to take part in Halloween event but not feeling to trick or treat? Pumpkin craving is the best event. One of them will take place at Red Derby on Halloween. It will continue till 7 PM, and it will be FREE.

 

Dia de los Muertos Celebration: Are you fan of galleries? This event is going to take place at the National Portrait Gallery. A celebration of Mexico’s Day of the Dead will be held, with traditional Mexican music and arts and crafts. Food and drinks will be available for purchase in the Kogod Courtyard Café. Date: November 1, Time: 5:30 to 7 PM. Price: FREE

 

On November 2nd, ‘Long Day’s Journey into Night’ will be held at Freer Gallery of Art. It is a creation from one of China’s most prodigious filmmakers, Bi Gan. It is also FREE and will be started at 7 PM.

 

Also, ‘Hocus Pocus’ will take place at Union Market. There will be a parking lot which will open at 5:30 PM and close at 7:45 PM. The film will begin at 8. $10 for parking fee and walk-ins are FREE.
